Asst. Chief Young- proven track record in law enforcement

{ By Darrell Young , 2:59 PM }

Woodbury Assistant Police Chief Darrell Young has given many years of dedicated service to the office of the Chief. Last year the Police Department received national recognition by the Association of Chiefs of Police. Police Chief Tony Burnett accepted an award along with four other coordinators. The award is given each year to a region across the United States and Canada for its efforts in making our streets safe. This is the second year in a row that they received the award. Assistant Chief Young comes from a respected Police Department. He has served in all ranks, and has a record of experience that cannot be underestimated.

A quick excerpt from an interview with former Cannon County Sheriff Bob Stoetzel and Woodbury Police Chief Tony Burnett:

As a result of the award, Chief Burnett said: "That is what happens when you hire good qualified men in the beginning."

Former Sheriff Stoetzel said: " I think we as a city can thank our police officers for their dedication to safety. Chief Burnett assures me that all the officers have the best interest of the city at all times."
